Earlier last month, Wellington North had heard from officials with the York Soaring Club regarding an Xplornet proposed tower location near their aerodrome.
The soaring club was opposed to the location under safety issues and wished for council to object to the location and find one more suitable for the tower, further away from the club.
Wellington North council agreed with the statement provided and voted for, without any opposition to object to the proposed location of the Xplornet tower near the club.
