At the council meeting on December 14th council directed staff to apply for funding from the Covid 19 Resiliency Infrastructure program for a generator for Mount Forrest & District Sports Complex, sidewalk upgrades for Eastview Drive in Arthur and a choker lane and sidewalk upgrades for downtown Arthur as part of a planned Connecting Link project planned for this year.
Choker lanes are calming measures that reduce 2 lanes to one and force motorists to yield to each other.
The Federal Infrastructure program was announced October 28th with an allotment of 250 million dollars.
