Students from Wellington Heights Secondary School in Mount Forest have achieved the grand prize from Ducks Unlimited Canada’s National Research Based case study competition.
Zoe Timberlake, Sydney West and Yuvika Patel won $500 for their school as well as earning the title of Youth Wetland Experts.
Students who are part of Ducks Unlimited Wetland Centre of Excellence network were challenged to find solutions to real world conservation problems.
The students, part of the Luther Marsh Wetland Centre of Excellence in Mount Forest took to look into the role of salt marshes in combating sea level rise in Atlantic Canada.
