Wellington County has received $1.5 million in federal funding to for a home funding grant.
The funding is part of the Reaching Home Funding Grant which was a part of a commitment from the federal government for $299 million to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and help prevent at risk Canadians from becoming homeless.
Staff are preparing a community request for proposal which will invite residents to share their thoughts on what part of the funding can be used for in regards to permanent supportive or transitional housing.
