Body cameras will be rolled out for Wellington County OPP over the course of the next 2 years.
In a report by OPP inspector, Paul Richardson says the cameras will help increase transparency and accountability.
Police will have to inform members of public when they are being recorded and will allow for blurring of people recorded who are not directly involved in a situation.
Certain specifics such as when police turn on cameras, if the cameras indicate they are recording or if public can decline to be recorded were not disclosed.
