Wellington County has received reports of election sign tampering with the municipal campaign now underway.
OPP say tampering with posted election documents in anyway can result in charges under the Criminal Code and/or the Canada Elections Act.
In a release OPP say while most respect a residents right to support a particular candidate, some feel compelled to damage or remove the signs.
Anyone who see’s any suspicious activity is asked to contact police at 1-888-310-1122.
