Wellington County is doubling up on the size of some grants and bursaries in response to the rising costs of living for students.
County council gave the green light to increase the amount awarded from scholarships and more from $500 to $1000 for each of the 10 students named the winners.
The application process takes into consideration academic and financial needs.
The Grant McLellan Memorial Award will also increase given to $1000 which goes to one student from Wellington Heights Secondary.
