Wellington County hospitals prepare to receive outside non-ICU patients

The 3 hospitals located in Wellington County are preparing to receive non-ICU patients from outside the Region as Ontario deals with growing numbers of Covid-19 cases.

None of the hospitals in the County have ICU’s so they are not able to receive the most critical patients dealing with Covid.

Capacities at the 3 sites have been bolstered increasing the bed count by 26.

Ambulatory care, oncology services and diagnostic imaging are currently not impacted by the move.
