WDG Public Health issue Health Alert after 31 Drug Poisonings in 2 Weeks

The Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health Unit issued a Pubic Health alert bringing to light that in the past two weeks there had been 31 drug poisonings including two deaths.

They advise that substances circulating in the area may be strong that what is usual.

Most of the situations were indicated to have involved fentanyl with multiple colours being involved.

They advise those that use to not do so alone and remind people of the National Overdose Response Service available toll free any hour at 1-888-688-6677.
