Water Quality Improvements Coming to Lake Victoria

The City of Stratford will be testing ways to improve water quality in Lake Victoria next week.

Starting Monday, two small yellow buoys will be placed on the water with one east of Tom Patterson Island and another west of the Waterloo Street bridge.

The buoys or the Equilibrium Modulating Fluids Devices are designed to improve water quality by enhancing the natural exchange of gases between the water and atmosphere.

The solar powered devices will run continuously using little energy and not add any chemicals or substances to the water.
