Despite a record number of voters in advance in Ontario, it was still a province low for voter turnout.
Over 1 million voters had cast a ballot in advance over the course of the 10 days advanced polling was open.
According to Elections Ontario, only 43.5 per cent of eligible voters had cast a ballot.
This breaks the previous low in 2011 when 48 per cent voted.
Locally, Perth-Wellington, while still low was above the average, seeing a voter turnout of 49.9 per cent.
