Vaccinations to resume for Wellington County week of Feb. 15th

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health is expecting to resume Covid-19 vaccinations the week of February 15th as shipments of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are expected to arrive that week.

The update was provided during a Public Health Board meeting yesterday.

There have been 6553 first vaccination doses administered to date.

Second doses will be administered with the arrival of the new vaccine supply.

3055 went to long-term care and retirement home residents and 1709 went to healthcare workers in those facilities, which means they have covered all but 10% of the population of those facilties.

They expect to have vaccinations at those settings done by February 24th.
