UTRCA Urging Public to Stay Away from Streams and Rivers

The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority is reminding the public to stay away from streams and rivers as spring runoff continues.

These levels of water remain hazardous and as March Break continues, it’s especially important to keep children and pets away from watercourses.

Stream banks can be slippery and unstable with water being cold and fast moving.

Most of the remaining snow across the watershed has melted with streams and rivers still elevated.

Current forecasts are for small amounts of snow and rain beginning today and continuing into the weekend.
