UTRCA Plants 37,544 During Spring Planting

It was a busy spring tree planting season with the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority.

Over the season, 37,544 trees were planted and distributed.

Around 55 landowners took advantage of the Conservation Authority’s planting service to create windbreaks, buffers along water courses and forests in the watershed.

150 landowners also planted on their own, increasing and restoring natural ecosystems on their property.

The crew started their work after Easter and staff will soon start visiting sites to line up for next years spring planting season.
