UTRCA Planting Season See’s Over 42,500 Trees Planted

The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority’s forestry crew has been busy for the tree planting season who were able to plant and distribute over 42,500 trees.

46 landowners took advantage of the UTRCA’s planting service to create windbreaks and buffers along water courses and forests across the watershed.

On top of staff efforts, another 118 landowners planted on their own to increase and restore natural ecosystems on their properties.
