As winter wheat harvest is complete, the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority stewardship is now looking at potential erosion control projects across the watershed.
Staff are conducting various site visits with the post harvest period providing an opportunity to identify and address issues related to water runoff, soil erosion and field damage.
When new field tile drainage systems are installed, UTRCA staff can work with drainage contractors to identify erosion risks and incorporate appropriate erosion control measures into the project design, helping to protect both the drainage investment and downstream watercourses.
