United Way Perth Huron has opened up community bonds for the general public with United Housing.
This is among the initial offering of community bonds in support of United Housing’s first project, the Music Hall Apartments in Listowel.
The Music Hall Apartments is a 4500 square footage currently being unused with a plan for it to provide 10 mixed income rental units for individuals working full time but still struggling to afford housing.
United Housing Community Bo1nds are a social impact investment to allow those to support local projects such as affordable housing while earning a stable fixed return.
Kathy Vassilakos, United Housing Director says over 50 per cent of the bonds have already sold through the efforts of the capital campaign committee.
