Unemployment Drops in November

Monthly reports from Statistics Canada shows the economy added 154,000 jobs in November.

The unemployment rate fell to 6 per cent, seeing a return to the workforce when compared to the 6.7 per cent in October.

In Ontario, 68,000 jobs were added last month which was mostly seen in full time health care and social assistance, wholesale and retail, construction and real estate.

The province’s unemployment rate dropped for the 6th straight month sitting at 6.4 per cent, the lowest since February 2020.
