Two Local Businesses Benefit from Dairy Processor Initiative

Two local businesses are getting a boost to the tune of $201,312 from the provincial government and Canada’s Dairy Processors Modernization Initiative.

The program provides cost share funding to dairy processors to help improve efficiency, capacity and food safety through acquisition of modern ways of processing milk products.

Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae says local processors will be able to increase productivity, quality and safety with the help of this funding.

River’s Edge Goat Dairy will see $1,312.87 with Stonetown Cheese seeing the bulk of the funding with $200,000.
