Constables Regan Bill and Devin Perdue have been honoured with the Ontario Medal for Police Bravery.
Both are being recognized for their courage and bravery during last years blaze in downtown Hanover which tore across downtown.
On May 19th 2022 both saw smoke and flame pouring from a rooming house who without hesitation ran into the burning building to get tenants out before firefighters arrived.
Despite the heat and smoke keeping them away from the second floor they were able to pound on doors, break locks and get residents out safely.
Around 70 people were inside the building at the time of the fire with no injuries being sustained.
