Wellington County OPP are investigating a grandparent scam.
On July 22nd officers were called about attempted fraud in Erin.
Two unknown suspects contacted the victim posing as the victims son saying they were arrested after a crash.
The second suspect posed as a lawyer saying $6500 was needed for bail.
The victim called their son and confirmed the story was fake, calling police.
The next day a similar story was given to a victim, requesting $2600 but the victim became suspicious who also contacted police.
