It was a full house at Parkview Gardens Thursday night as the North Perth Public Library welcomed “trailblazing women” sharing stories and inspiration.
Tell Me a Story featured 7 speakers spanning various career paths from police, business, agriculture, engineering and a lawyer.
Each speaker brought a unique story with them to share from their beginnings of their careers to growing, learning and rising the ranks to where they are today.
Diane Bender, one of the speakers, Integrated Business Coordinator for Ideal Supply says as a spectator as well its important to always use events like this to inspire and uplift.
“Women can do anything, they can do any job. I have two daughters that I tell them you can do anything you want. Be kind, be a role model just uplift the younger women we are working with and support them.” said Bender.
Ashlynn Bell, Coordinator of Community Connections for the North Perth Public Library added this event was a perfect addition to the PC Reads program and getting a chance to hear so many different stories.
“This is such an amazing opportunity to hear those voices, I am so happy to see our PC Reads program has really taken off and really hit that messaging at its core through this programming. The women we have heard from, all their different stories still have the same common element of community and connection.”
