An officer was on general patrol on February 28th just after 10pm when they observed a suspicious vehicle on Welling Street at Rowland Street in Mitchell.
During the stop the driver was showing signs of impairment. They were arrested and once taken back to the operation centre, a drug recognition evaluation done and charged.
The driver and two passengers were also found in possession of drugs.
A 47 year old of Stratford has been charged with driving while impaired and possesion of opiods.
A 45 year old male of West Perth has been charged with possession of the same substance as as a 45 year old female of Stratford.
All accused have been released and scheduled to appear at a Stratford court at a later date to answer to the charges. The driver also had their license suspended for 90 days and their vehicle impounded for 7 days.
