Toyota Canada has issued a “Do not drive” notice to 7300 vehicles due to faulty Takata airbag inflators.
For Canadians this impacts at least 5000 Toyota Corollas from the model years 2003 and 2004, 1600 matrixes from 2003 and 2004 and 700 RAV-4s from 2004 to 2005.
Toyota Canada urges those to make an appointment at a dealership to correct the problem at no charge.
The recall is almost a decade old with the do not drive advisory being sent to owners of vehicles who have not after many communication attempts have not yet done the work on their vehicle.
