The Town of Minto has endorsed a plan of a subdivision for a 10 unit development in Harriston.
10 single detached homes will be part of the development.
The one hectare property on Lawrence Avenue is part of the former Harriston Senior School lands which was purchased by the Upper Grand District School Board in 2012 but later sold for development.
There are many conditions of the plan before construction can begin which includes proper sidewalks, lighting and snow removal satisfactory to both the town and school board, who runs the adjacent Minto Clifford Public School.
Once all conditions are met, final approval will be needed to start construction.
