Centre Wellington Fire Chief Tom Mulvey has announced his retirement, ending 33 years of service to public safety, community service and leadership.
Mulvey started his career in 1993 as a volunteer firefighter with the Fergus Fire Department who joined Centre Wellington Fire Rescue as the Public Safety Officer in 2003, expanding to District Chief in 2011 and Deputy Chief of Fire Prevention and Public Education in 2018.
Mulvey was named Fire Chief in 2021. Mulvey in a release says over his time he has been fortunate to work alongside an incredible team and to have the support of so many colleagues, friends and community members.
