Today Marks 15th Anniverary of Loss of Kurtzville Native Anthony Klumpenhouwer in Afghanistan

Today marks a sad anniversary for Kurtzville native Canadian Special Operation Forces soldier Master Corporal Anthony Mark Klumpenhouwer.

He was killed on April 18th, 2007 after being electrocuted and falling from a communication tower while performing surveillance duties in Kandahar City.

Spokesperson for the Canadian Special Operation Forces Command Major Doug Allison said the death has been a tough blow for Canada’s fraternity of candestine fighters, who call themselves the “quiet professionals”.
