The PitchIt Minto Business Competition began in 2012 as a way to help grow small businesses in Minto.
This year’s winner of the competition is TNT Fishing Lures, owned and operated by Tia Biro and Ty Henry who are recent residents in Minto and opened their business in April of 2022.
In this year’s competition, there were three finalists, including this year’s winner. The other two finalists were Building Bridges Adult Day Program owned by Sierra-Lynn Moreira from Palmerston, and Café at the Old Post which is now under the new ownership of Hayley Pave and is located in downtown Harriston.
PitchIt Minto awards prizes for the winner and the finalists. Thanks to community sponsors this year, over $32,000 in cash and prizes were awarded to the three finalists.
The PitchIt Minto Business Competition is encouraging entrepreneurs to keep watch for next year’s competition as it begins in March.
