The Henry Street Bridge Opens In Mitchell

Officials in Mitchell have concluded a building project that took 15 years to complete but it is finally finished.

The Henry Street bridge that was first discussed by council in 2005 was the scene of a ribbon cutting to make it official.

It was a good example of the time and steps that are involved in the whole process.

It requires environmental assessments, traffic studies and of course public information sessions.

All before funding is secured and bids are taken.

The 3.9 million dollar project is expected to make it easier to get around and lessen any traffic congestion downtown.
