What started between Speedy Glass and Dairy Queen in Listowel grew into something huge.
From other Listowel businesses to surrounding communities to making international headlines, the sign war has been a much needed laugh for many.
A take on Stompin’ Toms “Good Ol’ Hockey Game” has got its local twist with “Good Ol’ Sign Wars Game” has hit the town by Johnny Borton and has been an instant hit.
Borton says the sign war has brought everyone something to enjoy, including himself.
“It’s been a fantastic run. I actually got so involved that I drove around town, every other day to look for new slogans. It’s been great.” said Borton.
Borton gives much thanks to his friend Jay Riehl to help produce the tune, he helped with backup vocals, drum track and guitar track and bass.
