One organization that is trying to weather these difficult times is the Blyth Festival.
The Festival has partnered with local artists to hold a fundraising auction. Festival volunteer Cindy Fisher says this is more than just supporting the theatre.
“We are hoping that by doing an online art auction we would raise some funds for the Blyth Festival as well as a local platform for local artists to receive a boost about their lovely art that they have donated.”
The Festival is more than just a local business. Cindy Fisher says it extends further than that.
“The Blyth Festival is very important to Huron County and beyond. It is a regional and national theatre that has a large outreach. It is an important place to go and listen to important Canadian stories being told.”
You can take part in the online 10 by 10 auction by visiting the Blyth Festival Website at https://blythfestival.com/huron-county-area-artists-create-online-art-auction-supporting-blyth-festival-10-x-10-in-2020/. The auction runs until December 10th at 10am.
