Wellington County OPP are investigating the theft of telecommunication wire in Guelph-Eramosa.
On March 30th at around 3pm, OPP responded to a report of telecommunication wire theft on Highway 7 between Wellington Road 44 and Alma Street.
It was reported the theft likely took place at 4am that morning when unknown suspects attended the location and took around 100 metres of copper cable valued between $5000-10,000 with some sections of wire left behind hiding in bushes.
OPP are urging the public with information to contact them.
