During the investigation a large quantity of cannabis was located and it was determined the Class G1 driver was driving a time they were not permitted. The restriction is from midnight to 5am for novice drivers.
As a result the 16 year old of North Bruce Peninsula has been charged with speeding up to 49 km over the speed limit, driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available and driving with a G1 license at an unlawful hour.
The 36 year old passenger, a resident of Northern Bruce Peninsula, was charged with having care or control of a vehicle with cannabis in open baggage.
The accused are scheduled to appear at a Stratford Court at a later date to answer to the charges.
