As students are packing their bags and returning for in person learning for the first time since the winter break, Wellington County’s top doctor is asking everyone to continue to do their part in a safe return to school.
Dr. Nicola Mercer, Medical Officer of Health for Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph writing in a letter to the community saying in person learning for students is very important.
Dr. Mercer also notes there are serious and long lasting impacts on their mental health and well being as well as academic progress.
