High school students skills were put on display with the Upper Grand District School Board who took part in a photography skills contest.
Seven students competed coming from schools in Guelph, Centre Wellington, Orangeville and Erin.
The students had one school day to take still life, portraits and school life photos. Evelyn L from Erin DHS came in first place.
Chantel Dirksen, a professional photographer judged the students images saying she was very impressed by the composition and creativity from all the students who had impressive editing and a good fundamental understanding of light and basic camera settings.
Evelyn will now represent the school board at the Skills Ontario Competition on May 7th in Toronto.
