The City of Stratford is warning residents of a scam going around on some downtown parking meters.
Illegitimate QR code stickers have been seen on parking meters across the city but officials say staff have done no such thing and to not scan the codes with your phone, not to follow the links as it could lead you to a fake parking app.
This isn’t overly uncommon as similar parking scams have made their appearance across Ontario.
Those who spot these in Stratford are asked to contact the clerks office.
