The City’s Community Services department and the students, under the leadership of Chefs Andrew Mavor and Paul Finklestein have launched it for the second year to deliver a hot meal to the doorstep of those in need.
An individual can purchase a meal for $30 and as a bonus a second mean will be donated directly to a local charity or someone identified at the time of the purchase.
Last year’s Holiday Fest sold out quickly with 135 meals delivered to the community.
The goal this year is 160 meals. The menu includes roast chicken leg or thigh, creamy mashed potatoes, carrots, traditional stuffing and ginger cake with cream cheese icing.
Holiday Meals will be delivered between 2 and 4pm on Christmas Eve.
The link to purchase meals is below.
Registration closes Sunday, December 12th.
