Stratford-Perth Pride launches campaign to replace Rainbow Crosswalk in Stratford

Stratford-Perth Pride and Kelly Ballentyne of Sirkel Foods in Stratford are launching a fundraising campaign to replace Stratford’s damaged rainbow crosswalk.

The current crosswalk needs repairs; this is due to a variety of circumstances including its complex design, the high frequency of snow plowing and salting, and damage from graffiti and other reasons.

The estimated cost of the new crosswalk for the materials and equipment needed is approximately $7,000.

The cost of labour installation is generously provided by Powerhouse Painting.

The new design will feature the ladder design to aid in repairs in the future only needing the colour stripes damaged needing to be replaced.
