Stratford Mayor Issues Apology for Postponed Meeting

Stratford Mayor Martin Ritsma has issued an apology for this weeks council meeting not getting off the ground, being postponed shortly after it began.

Ritsma says they recognize there were people in attendance who were there to take part in city business with some taking time off work, away from family or made arrangements to attend the meeting.

This all comes when the meeting was postponed after Mike Sullivan, a man banned from city property for three months was in attendance on Tuesday.

Sullivan has been banned for three months for alleged offensive statements made at a February 26th city council meeting with Sullivan appealing the suspension.

Ritsma adds they will reschedule the meeting as soon as possible.
