Stratford’s Aisin Canada, a local manufacturing company has received a boost from the province aimed to protect the company in the face of tariffs.
The investment of $2.2 million will help create 30 jobs and protect 530 positions in the city.
Through this support, Aisin Canada is putting forward $11.1 million to purchase new equipment to support their newly awarded Lexus NX panoramic sunroof production program from Toyota.
Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae says the unjustified US tariffs have directly impacted local manufacturers and this investment will strengthen the local manufacturing community and solidifies their commitment to protect Ontario and the communities.
