OPP have charged a Stratford resident in an online child luring investigation.
On December 4th after a prolonged investigation, OPP’s Child Sexual Exploitation Unit with the help of OPP Digital Forensics and Perth County OPP executed a search warrant in Stratford.
A 53 year old man faces multiple luring charges including;
- Luring a child to facilitate invitation to sexual touching, contrary to section 172.1(1)(b)
- Luring a child to facilitate sexual interference, contrary to section 172.1(1)(b)
- Luring a child to facilitate sexual assault, contrary to section 172.1(1)(b)
- Luring a child to facilitate child pornography, contrary to section 172.1(1)(a)
The accused will appear in Stratford court in January.
Police say victims of child sexual exploitation are so young that they cannot tell their story and every time an image or video of abuse is shared it causes further harm and re-victimization to the child.
