In partnership with Enbridge Gas and the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Public Safety Council, the Stratford Fire Department will be giving out 234 smoke and carbon monoxide alarms to families.
A $500,000 investment by Enbridge Gas to support the initiative, Safe Community Project Zero the distribution of smoke and carbon monoxide alarms is made possible.
For the past 13 years, Enbridge Gas and the public safety council have provided almost 70,000 alarms to Ontario fire departments through the initiative.
This year, the program will allow local fire departments to hand out more than 16,000 alarms to residents in over 70 communities in Ontario.
