Stratford council is continuing their discussions with Xinyi Canada regarding a cost sharing agreement on the proposed $400 million plant.
As council continues to review and make considerations, council has requested additional information from Xinyi in response to questions asked by council and from the public. This will better allow council to make decisions and considerations while looking over the cost sharing agreement.
There will be no decision regarding the cost sharing agreement by council over the holidays. Meetings previously meant to held last week were canceled so council could take more time to think about the agreement.
