Talks between Stratford and Xinyi Canada to bring a $400 million glass plant has been rather quiet since November and while chats do continue, it’s being put on pause for the time being.
In a release from the City, Stratford council continues to take feedback from the public on the development and cost-sharing agreement with Xinyi Canada. Talks are on pause due to the emergency stay at home order. Council will not be making a decision on the proposal at this time.
The release from the city comes after Xinyi Canada released their own statement citing disappointment about the cities decision to delay on the project.
