During winter storms, natural barriers and windbreaks would be a welcome sight and the Perth County Stewardship Program is offering just that.
The program offers funding to help landowners establish natural barriers to improve visibility, reduce drifting and improve winter conditions while also adding habitat and beauty to the landscape.
Grants are available for tree planting projects for windbreaks, living snow fences, forest management plans and riparian buffers.
Applications will close January 30th.
