Steve Clark Steps Down as Housing Minister

Housing Minister Steve Clark has resigned from his position.

Clark announced his resignation over social media in a letter addressed to Premier Doug Ford.

The move comes after a report from the province’s integrity commissioner who found Clark had violated ethics rules for the way the government removed land for development from the protected Greenbelt.

In his letter, Clark says the housing crisis demands someone who is not a distraction from the important work which needs to be done.

With his step down as Housing Minister, Doug Ford has made immediate changes to his cabinet.

Paul Calandra has been named the next Housing Minister who was previously the Long Term Care Minister.

Stan Cho has taken over the Long Term Care Minister.

Caroline Mulronrey moves to the president of the Treasury Board with Prabmeet Sarkaria taking Mulroney’s role in Transportation.
