7 new champions have been crowned at the 2022 Canadian Cross Country Championships over the weekend in Ottawa, including Lucknow’s Julie-Anne Staehli.
Staehli was next to Natalia Hawthrone, her teammate in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the Open Womens 10k.
Staehli eventually pushed herself forward in the last 2 kilometers who finished the race with a time of 34:12, 22 seconds ahead Hawthrone who finished 2nd.
