Students entering grade 1 at St Marys Catholic school in Listowel for fall 2023 will have the option of learning in French through the Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board’s French immersion program.
Currently the program is offered in certain schools in Stratford, St Marys, Goderich and Clinton as the interest in becoming fluent in a 2nd language grows.
The program will start with students in grade 1 for the 2023-2024 year and expand to the next higher grade every year.
