When it comes to bring your own alcohol events, St Mary’s saying to keep the booze at home.
Provincial changes showed the proposal of bring your own alcohol for outdoor public events being held in the province however each municipality has to approve the use of them.
At this time, St Mary’s has opted to not take part in the program.
Alcohol is not permitted in parks or public events unless approved by council or the clerk and a special occasion permit is in place.
Events with alcohol are still welcome under the current Municipal Alcohol Policy with the right approvals in place.
