St. Marys Fire set to conduct Water Rescue Exercise Wednesday Evening

The St. Marys Fire Department advised the public that it will be conducting some practical, real-world, swift water rescue training on Wednesday evening, November 9th.

The Department says the opportunity provides a more realistic environment for those who respond to and support water rescue operations.

In addition to the training, firefighters will participate in command and control, rope work, strategic prioritizing and accountability.

Those living in the area of the Park Street Bridge can expect to see fire vehicles and firefighter activity in the area. It will be reduced to one lane from 6:30 to 9 pm for the exercise.
